Free Kindle Finds No. 2

I'm a sucker for a free book! I probably download 10 free books a week onto my kindle and most of them go straight to my virtual TBR pile. I can't help myself. This week's find is A Bargain with the Shadow Prince by Genevieve Jack, which I will confess I downloaded because the cover is gorgeous. Like, is it just me or are covers getting prettier?

A Bargain with the Shadow Prince

It takes a monster to stop a monster.

Light the candle.
Stand naked before the symbol.
Offer your blood.

The advocate will come.
🌹

I left my abusive crime boss husband expecting to start over from nothing. After all, the prenup I signed when I married him is ironclad. But when Tony uses a loophole in the law to go after my ancestral family home—the one I’m currently living in and my grandmother is dying in—I’m desperate to stop him.

My witch best friend Maeve offers a solution. She lends me a family spell to call a supernatural advocate to deal with Tony. After all, it takes a monster to stop a monster.

But when I follow her instructions, I’m not expecting the darkly handsome Damien to form from the shadows, or to learn that he’s been a prisoner of Maeve’s family for centuries. From the moment he accepts my bargain and drinks my blood, he awakens a passion in me, one charged with latent magic. Magic formidable enough to restore my true self. Magic that holds the promise of Damien’s freedom.

Isn't that cover just gorgeous? I mean, who could resist? And the synopsis sounds pretty great, too. This book is currently free to download, even without KU, so you don't have to be a Kindle Unlimited member to get this book for free. It is the first book in a series and as you probably guessed the others aren't free. If a book is good, I don't mind paying for it, so if I enjoy this one the other two will also be finding their way onto my kindle. None of the books are currently on KU.

Free Kindle Finds: No. 1

Since investing in the Kindle several months back, one of my favorite pastimes (when I'm not doing homework or reading) is to hunt around on Amazon for free books. They have a promotional offers page, where many of the books are either free or very cheap, along with Top 100 Free books lists. I've found a lot of really neat books and thought I'd start passing them along, so others might find them, too!

So here's what I got this week:

A Tailor-Made Bride by Karen Witemeyer

When a dressmaker who values beauty tangles with a liveryman who condemns vanity, the sparks begin to fly!

Jericho "J.T." Tucker wants nothing to do with the new dressmaker in Coventry, Texas. He's all too familiar with her kind--shallow women more devoted to fashion than true beauty. Yet, except for her well-tailored clothes, this seamstress is not at all what he expected.

Hannah Richards is confounded by the man who runs the livery. The unsmiling fellow riles her with his arrogant assumptions and gruff manner, while at the same time stirring her heart with unexpected acts of kindness. Which side of Jericho Tucker reflects the real man?

When Hannah decides to help Jericho's sister catch a beau--leading to consequences neither could have foreseen--will Jericho and Hannah find a way to bridge the gap between them?

I also downloaded:

Kiss Me Deadly by Michele Hauf
Making Waves: A Novel by Lorna Seilstad
Complete Without Kids by Ellen L. Walker

I'm not entirely sure how long Amazon makes these books available for free, so go get them while you can! Enjoy!
